Tasks
- Perform detailed structural and structural/thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures, components and systems
- Guide structural optimization and design improvements
- Deliver detailed FEM Models used for analysis, from GFEM to detailed analysis
- Define sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysis
- Deliver preliminary sizing calculations, hand calculations and simplified estimates to inform the design
- Support ground and flight tests
- Deliver detailed technical reports and presentations
- Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures
- Support the definition and execution of the qualification and certification process
Requirements
BS., MS., in an Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
8-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineer
FEM experience with Nastran, from building models to analysis, postprocessing, debugging
Experienced with stress hand calculation/analytical methods
Experience with both metallic and composite lightweight structural design for aerospace
Experience with Flight and Ground Loads, Structural requirements, Calculations and reporting in the frame of aerospace regulations/certification standards
Experience with Matlab
