Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in designing and developing complex distributed systems, with significant contributions as an architect or lead contributor on large-scale projects.
- In-depth experience with private, hybrid, and public cloud environments, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, containerisation with Docker/Kubernetes, and programming languages like Python and Go.
- Strong background in implementing secure, integrated service solutions from initial concept through deployment and ongoing support.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity practices, information security accreditation, and ongoing assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead evaluations and make informed technical choices for software and infrastructure.
- Experience in creating or contributing to long-term engineering roadmaps aligned with business and product goals.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience delivering complex networked systems within regulated sectors, such as defence, national security, telecommunications, financial services, or automotive.
- Experience designing and supporting solutions for far-edge environments with denied, disrupted, intermittent, or lossy communication conditions.

Experience

Position Overview:
An experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for aerospace to join the team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong applied engineering skills and an aptitude for leading small engineering teams and projects. Support the propulsion and vehicle teams as the focal point for leading mechanical design projects (Airframe, Propulsion, Landing gear, flight controls) through the entire design life cycle.
Tasks
- Lead design projects for aerospace components and systems from the conceptual phase through manufacturing to integration and testing
- Generate 3D CAD models, drawings, schematics, bills of material, and other related documentation required for manufacturing, integration and testing
- Deliver technical documentation including any engineering calculations, analysis and assumptions required to substantiate your design decisions and solutions
- Prepare and participate in design reviews
- Manage suppliers and manufacturers by addressing any technical questions and resolving any issues which may arise during the manufacturing process
- Select standard parts, fasteners, equipment and consumables following best practices and industry standards
- Contribute to the DMU and configuration management
Requirements
- MSc. in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Technician qualifications with substantial experience would also be considered.
- +5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the aerospace industry
- Strong knowledge of the manufacturing and assembly processes: machining, sheet metal forming, composites and additive manufacturing
- Excellent CAD and PLM knowledge: Part design, DWGs, DMU management
- Good engineering material properties knowledge
- Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills: dimensioning calculations, load path definitions, basic stress calculations, energy and power
- Seal and fastener design knowledge
- Auxiliary component selection – general electro/mechanical components
- ISO GD&T knowledge required
- Fluent in English as a working language. Dutch language is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Siemens tool suite: NX, and TeamCenter PLM system, would be a plus
- Experience with Metallic and composite structure design would be beneficial
- Good to have experience with hydraulics, fuel systems and component design

Contribute to the design, development and optimization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and their associated systems, including the Systems and Hardware (HW) definition. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the entire UAV lifecycle from concept to deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in UAV systems engineering, with a focus on HW and systems architecture definition preferably in the aerospace or Defence industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Siemens NX) for 3D modelling and design, creating system diagrams and wiring diagrams would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion systems, avionics, electrical systems, signal routing and power distribution for UAV subsystems.
- Experience with system integration, assembly and testing processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for UAV design and operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with writing SORAs and past interaction with EASA is desired.
- Demonstrable experience in real UAV flight testing would be an asset.
- Demonstrable experience as a GCS Operator and External Pilot would be an asset.

Our client is seeking an Engineer or Senior Engineer to join their growing HV Cable Design team. This role is ideal for technically strong engineers looking to work on complex, large-scale projects in the transmission and distribution sector, including work for SSEN and National Grid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify cable sizes, routes, and types, including cable rating and induced voltage calculations.
- Manage the production of design drawings, reports, and material specifications.
- Work with CAD technicians to create detailed layouts and trench cross sections.
- Liaise with project managers to ensure designs meet project timelines and budgets.
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines as needed.
- Involvement in technical working groups to solve industry challenges.
Requirements:
- Engineer Level: Experience with HV (33kV+) cable design and report writing.
- Senior/Principal Level: Proficient in Cymcap software and independently managing HV cable design.
- Experience in checking and coordinating junior engineers’ work.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

- Collaborate with Engineers from different disciplines to enable system wide integration

Role Summary
The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Team will lead and develop the Mechanical Engineering team, as well as the product change control team, with overall responsibility for mechanical design, product updates, and development activities associated with developing and manufacturing electronic/electrical test equipment.
The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Team will lead the new 3DX/PLM

Essential Skills
• The successful candidate shall be degree qualified, or HND/HNC, in Mechanical and/or Production engineering
• Knowledge of implementing the Document management and change management system, ideally 3DX/PLM.
