Senior Drone Pilot 

Location: Essex 
Permanent position 

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The vision of creating an aircraft capable of truly novel flight performance while, optimizing the design for strength and rigidity, faster assembly, and easier transportation, or minimizing vibration during flight, you will need all your resourcefulness to be a pioneer of this new technology.
  
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversight and control of the drone functions.
- Work with flight testing and aerodynamics team
- You're a certified Remote Pilot with a knack for mission planning and a passion for drone technology. Your expertise not only lies in piloting but also in understanding the mechanics and maintenance of drones.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments. Whether it's conducting risk assessments, or ensuring safety compliance, you're always ready for the challenge.
- A team player with leadership skills. You're comfortable with giving and taking direction and possess the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.

Essential:
- You assume complete control and custody of the aircraft. This is the next level and a highly responsible position.
- You understand the technology. You know about drones. You know what looks good and what looks safe, and you know what to do when something doesn’t look right.
- You have the right work ethic to engage with complex aircraft technology, remain familiar with a range of platforms, and know what your obligations are when operating a drone.
- Multirotor drone/ aircraft experience is mandatory - fixed wing experience is not applicable.
