The successful candidate will demonstrate industry leading technical expertise in order to carry out HV cable joining and terminations on 11KV & 33 KV

You will draw on your wealth of experience to carry out HV cable joining to install and connect a wide range of cables, accessories and substation switchgear/plant associated with the distribution network. This could include the installation and termination of HV & LV Cables, installing switchgear, earthing, heavy duty cut outs, MSDB’s as well as small power and lighting

You will be expected to communicate with the senior clients and engineers whilst on-site, sharing regular progress updates and making them aware of any challenges or issues which may arise whilst carrying out your work. You will be solutions orientated, positive and proactive in your day-to-day tasks.

General Description:
You are part of the team responsible for the effective leadership and management of the aerospace materiel production and maintenance function. Responsible for the planning and overseeing of the manufacture, assembly and testing of components, delivery of parts and component maintenance within the scope of approval, and planning and supervising the installation and commissioning of avionics modifications on customer aircraft. 
  
Role Accountabilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise a team of skilled technicians in the production of parts from drawings to meet or exceed customer, regulatory and company standards.
- Work under Part 21G and Part 145 regulations.
- Assist in establishing, maintaining and improving work processes, worksheets and production/maintenance planning system.
- Assist with the production, maintenance and installation planning, working collaboratively with the project managers, design team, supply chain team and customer Part 145.
- Work alongside the design team to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate personnel schedule to ensure performance to budget and schedule.
- Support and execute production activities including kitting of parts and materials in accordance with design data, issuance of parts and kits, managing the introduction of production changes in a controlled manner.
- Ensure compliance with company Production Organisation Exposition and Maintenance Organisation Exposition, and other company manuals.
- Assist the production and maintenance manager to ensure production and maintenance staff, including technicians, inspectors and certifying staff, are provided with sufficient technical training.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improving production and maintenance practices through a culture of continuous improvement.
- Issue UK CAA Form 1 certificates for new and repair parts if and as delegated.
- May be required to assist with aircraft modification planning or lead/supervise installation team as the projects require.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:
- EASA or UK CAA Part 66 B2 license for multi-engine rotorcraft or multi-engine airplane.
- Completed a recognised civilian apprenticeship or military equivalent qualification.
- Sound knowledge of civil regulatory requirements.
- Strong background in aerospace production and maintenance, with at least 8 years’ experience working within the aviation environment, specifically in the areas of aircraft modifications, maintenance or production.
- Possess a high degree of hand skills and dexterity.
- Familiarity with the use of avionics related equipment, and the safety practices for working in an aviation production and maintenance environment.
- Strong understanding of EWIS and awareness of human factors in aviation maintenance/production environment

- Overhaul/Repair Gama owned cores and maintain an increasing exchange parts inventory
- Completion of Dangerous Goods (DG) paperwork for the fright distribution of DG items iaw ADR & IATA and ensure all consignment of Dangerous Goods (DG) to and from vendors / outstations are in with these regulations
- Ensure updates are delivered to the RoW MRO Facilities as needed
- Forward planning and coordination with engineering and outstations are conducted to ensure the swift and effective movement of rotatable is maintained as requested

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Experience and understanding of aviation tooling and commercial purchasing
- Experience and understanding of aviation compliance requirements
- Confidence and ability to work with suppliers / vendors and engineering teams
- Possess excellent computer skills and competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Your role and your team:
In this role, you will work as part of an Integrated Project Team with a focus on Custom Electronic development. These positions will report to our Hardware Electronics Manager and will contribute to the electronic systems design, certification, and delivery for the aircraft.

Your Day to Day:

- Experience with Schematic capture and PCB layout board EDA tools, and with grounding, shielding and EMC design techniques.
- Good understanding of system validation, verification and development activities in compliance with aviation guidelines such as SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761 and qualification test requirements such as DO-160G. Equivalent standards in other industries are also considered (e.g. Automotive, Railway, Medical).
