We have partnered with a brilliant R&D company who specialise in bespoke and highly specialised bio-technology. The company in question are going through an exciting growth phase and are looking to expand their capabilities across research and development as they look to take an exciting new range of products to market and supply key global customers. 

In the role of Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, design and development of low-level embedded code for intricate electronic systems.

Although you will be working within a team of multidisciplinary engineers, you'll also have a high degree of autotomy as your peers will look for you to utilise your expertise within embedded systems to guide developmental direction.  

In addition to a formal qualification within Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, suitable applicants for this vacancy will be able to demonstrate the following: 
- Strong Embedded C/C++ programming skills
- Good familiarity of RTOS and Bare Metal development
- Knowledge of communication protocols including I2C, SPI, CAN, USB and Ethernet
- Experience of working on ARM based processors
- Prior experience of stepper motors would be advantageous, but is not essential
- The ability to read and utilise hardware schematics
