We have partnered with one of the most established and highly reputable engineering companies in the UK, who are currently looking for Robotics Software Engineer to join their R&D team. The company in question are market leaders in their field with and part of a wider corporation with a strong presence globally. 

This is an opportunity for an ambitious engineer who has strong mathematical modelling capability prior experience or aspirations of being a key person within defining technical development and guiding the development direction for a range of products which are utilised across different industries. 

In this role you will develop algorithms for data sensors and navigation technologies, supporting the integration and deployment of real-time codebases. You will also define requirements for different sensor packages, and model, simulate, and characterise their behaviour 

In addition to a formal qualification within Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline, suitable applicants should be able to demonstrate: 
- Qualified to MSc or PhD level, with a passion for mathematical modelling
- Good appreciation of C++ programming and using modelling tools, most notably Matlab
- Knowledge of Kalman filters would be highly advantageous
- Prior experience with navigation technologies (GNSS, GNC, GPS)
- An interest in robotics
