About the Quality Engineer opportunity
 
Our client is a highly respected Aerospace business who have a brand new machine shop manufacturing facility in Sheffield which produces metallic aerospace components to an incredible quality standard.
 
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and improving Quality Engineering standards through analysis & monitoring Quality Engineering KPIs, improving SOPs, investigating & recommending new Quality methods, tools and equipment.
 
Deliverables for the Production Quality Engineer
- Develop inspection-based Quality Engineering work instructions
- Develop documentation and process to comply with AS9100
- Develop inspection plans, interact with measurement equipment manufacturers and recommend process and / or equipment upgrades to management
- Perform Root Cause Corrective Action Problem Solving

Quality Engineer Person Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace or Quality Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Quality Standard
- Excellent understanding of machine shop inspection techniques and GD&T
- RCCA experience
