We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a successful and growing laboratory software (LIMS) vendor as a .Net Software Developer, working on the design and development of one of their key software products used in analytical laboratories.
Role: Senior Full Stack Developer
Initially:
1. To get the required depth of product and application understanding, you will get involved in implementations of their product, both remotely and occasionally on customer sites.
2. Contributing to the design and development of big fixes and new features, under the supervision of the Lead Developer.
3. Working alongside the support team to provide third-level support to customers, including making changes to the product as required.
As knowledge of product grows and confidence builds:
1. Work closely with the Product Manager to design and develop and test new features.
2. Contribute to the transformation of the product to web-based technologies.
3. Contribute to the wider product suite, particularly integrations between our products
To perform this role you will work closely with the wider product/implementation team, and specifically with the Lead Developer and the Product Manager.
General:
- Flexibility to work from home or one of our offices, as preferred.
- Occasional site visits to engage with customers and support implementation work.
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject
- 3 years’ experience with a .NET language and Visual Studio
- Detailed understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Demonstrable knowledge of database design and management
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required
Beneficial but not Essential:
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle Database
- Software testing experience (including automated Unit Testing)
- Project Management skills
- Understanding the statistical basis of quality control and uncertainty of measurement
- Experience of dealing with Corporate IT Departments
- Experience with software support
- Experience with onsite fee earning work
- Knowledge of Analytical laboratories
- Knowledge of LIMS
