Monday to Friday (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)

Our client is a global leader in Precision & CNC Engineering. An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer to join the team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineer will work alongside a team of engineers within maintenance, projects, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake the day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of all machinery, plant, equipment & facilities.
- Liaise with the Engineering Manager, Shift Managers and other shift staff in providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support on shift.
- Undertake electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and repair on plant and machinery.
- Identify and report on materials and parts required to overcome breakdowns and repairs.
- Breakdown resolution, repairs and improvements to all machinery and processes.
- The use of multi test equipment to identify and rectify faults within control systems.
- Record detailed and accurate repair information relating to repair inspections or completed repair jobs.
- Ensure parts required to repair machines are ordered through the relevant process in a timely fashion.
- Undertake training, as necessary to maintain high standards in the quality of work provided.

  QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- City & Guilds – Part 3 or ONC/OND/HNC Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Essential)
- Experience gained in a manufacturing environment (Essential)
- Pneumatics fault finding (Essential)
- Interpretation of complex electrical drawings (Essential)
- An understanding of electronics is desirable but not essential
- Experience in the following modern control systems (Desirable)
- PLCs fault finding
- Drives & Controls
- Encoders, sensors & feedback systems
- CNC machine controls
- Modifications to electrical and electronics circuits (Desirable)
- Retrofitting of drives and configuring parameters (Desirable)
- Some experience with installation projects (Desirable)
