Cyber & Information Security Lead

Bristol - on-site 3-days a week
Salary up to £90,000 plus excellent benefits
 
Are you:
- a Cyber/Information Security specialist with expertise in the Defence/Central Government/Ministry of Defence (MoD) space?
- demonstrably experienced in Security Assurance, particularly around MoD processes and standards (including Secure by Design, JSP 440, etc.) and other industry standards (including ISO 27001 and NIST)?
- also technically astute in the Security space? Ideally with evocable experience around Security Architecture, Secure Software Development, Cloud, Network and Infrastructure?
- either currently holding, or eligible to achieve Security Clearance (SC)?

You'll be the first direct appointment for this organisation who provide software and application solutions to the Defence sector. As the owner of the Security within the company, you will hold the responsibility for both the internal Cyber & Information Security, across Technical and Assurance, along with the Assurance perspective with the client, assuring compliance throughout complex system integrations.
 
As the organisation grows organically through greater demand from its client base, this role will lead to natural career development for the incumbent to a Head of/CISO role as there will eventually be the requirement to grow the Security team. Your ownership over the direction of the Security within the company, working alongside the other technical leaders (and importantly, Security awareness) in the business, will be imperative to the development and growth of the organisation.
 
From a technical perspective, we are relatively agnostic as to where your experience lies. The only key thing we need to see is experience in securing the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
 
Due to the nature of this position, candidates must either hold/have held Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible to attain it. We cannot consider candidates who require visa sponsorship.
