Job Description:
Are you a seasoned Aeroelastics professional looking for exciting roles in the heart of Japan's automotive and aerospace innovation hub? We are thrilled to offer multiple opportunities to join our passionate and talented team as Aeroelastics Team Leaders and Team Members. In these roles, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of manned Air Mobility products, including Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, all while enjoying the vibrant culture and advanced technology landscape of Japan.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Aeroelastics Team Leaders:
·      Lead and oversee Aeroelastics analysis, ensuring seamless integration with aircraft development and certification processes.
·      Serve as the technical authority for Aeroelastics-related decisions.
·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing Aeroelastics expertise and tools to support their activities.
·      Develop and manage Aeroelastics analysis and design requirements throughout the certification process.
·      Work closely with the Safety Team to ensure Aeroelastics aspects are integrated into aircraft-level safety assessments.
·      Champion best practices by combining traditional aerospace knowledge with innovative approaches tailored to eVTOLs.
·      Mentor and develop talent within the Aeroelastics team and actively participate in recruitment activities.

Aeroelastics Team Members:
·      Collaborate with the Aeroelastics team to perform analysis and support aircraft development and certification.
·      Assist in the execution of Aeroelastics-related ground and flight test programs.
·      Contribute to the development and management of Aeroelastics analysis and design requirements for certification.
·      Work closely with the Aeroelastics Team Leader to ensure compliance with safety assessments.
·      Embrace best practices by applying traditional aerospace knowledge and innovative approaches to eVTOL technology.

Qualifications:
Essential:
·      Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
·      Minimum of 10 years of experience in Aeroelastics analysis for certified aerospace vehicles for the Team Leader role and relevant experience for the Team Member role.
·      Proficiency in all aspects of aircraft Aeroelastics analysis, covering the entire aircraft lifecycle.
·      Expertise in generating technical requirements for Aeroelastics discipline and managing them throughout the lifecycle.
·      Strong project management and interpersonal skills for managing internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and suppliers.
·      Deep knowledge of relevant aviation regulations and experience in developing means of compliance.
·      Ability to challenge traditional assumptions in applying regulations and engineering specifications.
·      Understanding of rotor blade aerodynamics and rotor dynamics, particularly as they affect Aeroelastic analysis.
·      Business-level English proficiency for multilingual work environments.

Desirable:
·      Knowledge and experience in Aeroelastics for multicopters or a solid theoretical understanding of the challenges associated with their certification.
·      Experience with Interactions of Systems of Structures regulations and/or Aeroelastic analysis for aircraft with fly-by-wire control systems.
·      Understanding of multicopter aerodynamics and their impact on Aeroelastics requirements.
·      Experience in direct discussions with regulators and participation in standards groups for new technology development.
·      Experience adopting new technology in aerospace, including novel aircraft configurations and means of compliance negotiation.
·      Familiarity with analysis tools such as NASTRAN, RCAS, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, etc.
·      Knowledge of proposed eVTOL regulations and means of compliance.
