Our client is seeking a Presales Solutions Engineer to join their dynamic team, responsible for driving technical pre-sales activities and solution development to capitalize on new business opportunities and shape the evolution of information systems for frontline users. As the primary technical strategist and solution architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing a technical strategy that exceeds customer expectations, positioning my client for continued growth and success.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to understand client needs and develop tailored solutions, pricing strategies, and collaboration approaches that effectively address their requirements.
- Articulate a clear technical vision and delivery strategy to diverse audiences through compelling written proposals and presentations.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a technical pre-sales or solution architecture role, preferably within a technology-driven industry.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in developing and implementing technology solutions, particularly in challenging environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and gather requirements while considering resource, commercial, and technical constraints.
- Empathy and integrity, with a commitment to prioritizing user needs and ethical practices.

In addition to a formal degree or qualification within Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

Our Client specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of LV and HV switchgear and associated assets. 

You will play a pivotal role in the survey, quotation, delivery and execution of electrical maintenance and installation projects for some of the world’s most reputable brands, working across a wide range of industries including Utilities, Marine, Oil and Gas, Renewables, and Transport.

The role will include a variation of tasks from planned preventative maintenance and service contracts to retrofits and major installation projects, you will be responsible for managing LV and HV switchgear projects from cradle to grave, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, and HSSEQ requirements. 

The ideal candidate will have : 
- Relevant experience in a similar role within an Engineering discipline 
- A strong background in Electrical Engineering , ideally with a thorough knowledge of switchgear manufacturing and/or maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience with retrofitting of LV and MV switchgear are advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical CAD drawings is required.
- Experience in negotiating contracts with clients and suppliers is advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence
