About the opportunity
My client are a leading Aircraft Manufacture and Operations business, who facilitate Aircraft Sales, Bespoke Aircraft Builds, Maintenance and Spares & Repairs. Capabilities include Aircraft Design & Customisation, Flight Test, Certification, Train and Technical Support.
The Quality & Safety Manager will be responsible for responsible for management of all aspects of Aviation Quality Safety Management Systems across the business.
Deliverables
- Liaison with Civil and Military Aviation Safety Regulators e.g. CAA, EASA, FAA, BCAR and MAA
- Oversee Design, Maintenance, Production and Training approvals for Part 21, 21G, 145, 147, CAMO and BCAR
- Develop and maintain risk-based audit plan and ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain Quality Management documentation, keep handbooks up to date and ensure training records & authorisations/permits are kept up to date
Person Requirements
- Form 4 Holder – Quality Manager
- Excellent knowledge of Civil and Military aviation Design, Production and Maintenance
- Trained Lead Auditor

This is an opportunity for an ambitious engineer who has strong mathematical modelling capability prior experience or aspirations of being a key person within defining technical development and guiding the development direction for a range of products which are utilised across different industries.
In this role you will develop algorithms for data sensors and navigation technologies, supporting the integration and deployment of real-time codebases. You will also define requirements for different sensor packages, and model, simulate, and characterise their behaviour
In addition to a formal qualification within Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline, suitable applicants should be able to demonstrate:

- Good appreciation of C++ programming and using modelling tools, most notably Matlab

Developing a combination of bespoke and off-the-shelf products, new product development is at the top of the agenda for this company, and the opportunity to work on a diversified product offering is ample.
In your role as a Firmware Engineer, you will contribute to the development of real time operating systems for a wide range of products. You'll work alongside an established team of electronics engineers to develop products will; which ensure the company in question stays one step ahead of their competitors.
In addition to a formal degree or qualification within Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 3 years Embedded C/C++ programming experience
- Knowledge of a variety of low-level microprocessors (ARM Cortex, STTM32, Atmel, etc)
- Knowledge of embedded Linux, Yocto and Buildroot based systems

Our Client specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of LV and HV switchgear and associated assets.
You will play a pivotal role in the survey, quotation, delivery and execution of electrical maintenance and installation projects for some of the world’s most reputable brands, working across a wide range of industries including Utilities, Marine, Oil and Gas, Renewables, and Transport.
The role will include a variation of tasks from planned preventative maintenance and service contracts to retrofits and major installation projects, you will be responsible for managing LV and HV switchgear projects from cradle to grave, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, and HSSEQ requirements.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Relevant experience in a similar role within an Engineering discipline
- A strong background in Electrical Engineering , ideally with a thorough knowledge of switchgear manufacturing and/or maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience with retrofitting of LV and MV switchgear are advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical CAD drawings is required.
- Experience in negotiating contracts with clients and suppliers is advantageous.

Cubiq Recruitment have partnered with one of the most established and highly reputable engineering companies in the UK, who are currently looking for a Lead Firmware Engineer to head up the Embedded Systems & Firmware division within the R&D team. The company in question are market leaders in their field with a global reputation and customers on every continent on the planet.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Firmware Engineer with technical leadership qualities and experience to be a part of one of an innovative, forward thinking engineering environment. Day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the development of low-level embedded software for existing product range, system-level architecture for new product development, and holding other engineers across the engineering team accountable for their design ideas and solutions. Despite this being a technical lead position, you will bereft of line management responsibilities, and will be tasked solely with overseeing high calibre embedded development.
In addition to a formal qualification (MEng, BEng, HNHD, etc) within Electronics Engineering or a similar technical discipline, candidates should be able to demonstrate key skills the following areas:
- Minimum 8 years of low-level embedded firmware development
- Strong experience with Embedded C, and a good familiarity with C++ programming
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Previous work on a variety of Microcontrollers, with a strong familiarity of STM3 & ARM family in particular
- Experience with Matlab and/or Simulink tools
- Experience of leading technical development on various projects
- Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the business, and with internal and external stakeholders

We are seeking an experienced Principal HV OHL Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company across multiple office locations in the UK. As we expand our team, we are looking for individuals with a strong background in electricity transmission & distribution sector, particularly in overhead line transmission system projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage overhead line transmission system projects from conception to completion.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
- Conduct detailed design calculations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule constraints.
- Stay updated with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance in all projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of HV OHL engineering design experience in the electricity transmission & distribution sector.
- At least 5 years of experience on UK overhead line transmission system projects.

About the opportunity
Working for a leading Aerospace and Defence business, you will plan and conduct Supplier Audits and help with Supplier Selections & Improvement plans.
You will have skills with Root Cause Analysis, developing training materials, conformity inspections and have a solid understanding of relevant Quality Standards; AS9100, AS9102
Deliverables
- Plan Supplier Quality Audits, Process Investigations and ensure compliance with Contractual Requirements
- Provide Education and Coaching to Suppliers on Quality Systems, Regulatory Compliance and internal company initiatives
- Support regulatory audits, support new Supplier Selection and evaluate Supplier Root Cause Analysis
Person Requirements
- Strong Aerospace experience and understanding of Standards & Regulatory requirements – AS9100, AS9102 and FAA, CAA or EASA requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action methodologies
- Ability to lead and perform source inspections for various types of Aerospace equipment and assemblies

- AS9100 / EN9100* Lead Auditor experience
- Thorough Quality Management System knowledge*
