Product Design Engineers (x4)

Job Type: Permanent 
Salary: £34,000 

Job Purpose: Design and develop new products for the Clients product range.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to commercial briefs for product specifications.
- Develop innovative ideas for new products.
- Create drawings to obtain design approval.
- Design new products using 3D CAD.
- Prototype new products as required.
- Test new products and use analysis to review and improve product design.
- Test and evaluate competitors’ products.
- Ensure adherence to all processes and complete necessary documentation.
- Attend team meetings to provide updates on current projects.
- Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, ensuring any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in your absence.

Education and/or Experience:
- Degree in Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering.
- 2 years of experience in designing with plastics.
- Engineering background with essential experience in 3D CAD.
- Experience in designing components for plastic injection moulding of domestic components and materials is essential.
- Experience in commissioning injection mould tools is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with Siemens NX is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in liaising with tooling and manufacturing engineers is preferred but not essential.
