About the Principal Engineer opportunity:
Our client is undergoing a major transition to electrified powertrains for its range of vehicles and they are looking for a Principal Engineer who will be responsible for the development of e-drive Control Systems, Functional Safety, Testing and Software Quality
 
Principal Engineer Deliverables:
- Development of Validation Tests, Electrical Bench Tests and Hardware in the Loop and vehicle testing
- Development of e-drive power electronics control systems and the design of control algorithms
- Functional Safety Analysis; System and Hardware DFMEA

Principal Engineer Person Requirements:
- 10 years+ real-time Control Systems experience
- Electric Drive Software Development
- Experience developing Testing Control algorithms using Matlab / Simulink
- Automotive Software Quality

Relevant tools and further experience:
- Expert user of Calibration tools; INCA, CANalyzer, CANape
- Matlab / Simulink
- Communication protocols: CAN/ CAN FD
